Ireland's business environment ranked and measured by World Bank

The World Bank released detailed data measuring how easy or hard it is to start and run a business in Ireland compared to other European Union countries. This is the first comprehensive subnational business environment assessment for Ireland, providing a baseline of regulatory friction that can be tracked over time to see if Ireland is becoming more or less business-friendly.

Ireland competes for foreign investment and startups partly on regulatory simplicity — this baseline measurement lets policymakers see exactly where Ireland stands against peer regions and identify which specific rules or processes are slowing businesses down relative to competitors.
