The US government removed 42 rules for a tobacco tax that expired in 2009

The US Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau removed 42 regulations from its books. These rules covered a special tax on tobacco products that applied only to inventory held on April 1, 2009, and was due by August 1, 2009.

This is a housekeeping item. The tax was a one-time event from 15 years ago. The rules were obsolete. Removing them cleans up the regulatory code.
