Mine safety agency buys more standard breathing devices

The US Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) is buying self-contained self-rescuers. These are standard breathing devices miners use in emergencies.

This is a routine purchase of safety equipment that miners are already required to carry. It does not change any rules, costs, or operational procedures for mines or for the agency. The purchase simply ensures MSHA has enough of these devices on hand.
