The US Department of Housing and Urban Development has again postponed new rules for its HOME Investment Partnerships Program. This means local governments and housing developers will continue to operate under the old, less streamlined regulations for now.
The HOME program gives money to states and local governments to build and rehabilitate affordable housing. HUD tried to update these rules to make them simpler and faster to use.
