SpaceX gets permanent no-go zones for rocket launches in Texas

The US Coast Guard has created two permanent safety zones in South Bay, Texas, and the Gulf of America. These zones prohibit vessels and people from entering during scheduled commercial rocket launches, unless specifically authorized.

Before this, temporary safety zones were set up for each launch, requiring repeated approvals and coordination. Now, the zones are permanent, making it easier for commercial space companies to plan and execute launches without constant bureaucratic hurdles. This change reduces operational friction for companies like SpaceX, which frequently launches from Boca Chica.
