Veterans Affairs makes it easier to get grants for preserving veteran history

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) updated its grant program for preserving veteran history. It made administrative rules simpler and extended deadlines for grant recipients.

This change means smaller organizations and those with less administrative staff will have an easier time applying for and managing these grants. It removes some of the bureaucratic hurdles that might have discouraged groups from participating in the past. The goal is to get more local communities involved in telling the stories of veterans.
