Tiny AI can now read multiple body signals on a smartwatch
What happened
AI models that read biological signals usually focus on one type, like heart rate or brain activity. This paper shows a small AI model that can process three different biological signals at once, running efficiently on tiny, low-power computer chips inside smartwatches and other wearables.
Why it matters
Until now, putting complex AI on a smartwatch meant either focusing on one type of data or using a lot of battery. This paper shows a single AI that can understand brain activity, heart rhythms, and blood flow changes all at once, using very little power. This makes it possible for future wearables to offer much more comprehensive health insights without needing to be charged constantly.
The signal
