The US military is buying a new way to move fuel from ships to shore

For decades, military fuel logistics relied on fixed ports and pipelines, which are vulnerable in conflict zones. This new system allows fuel to be moved directly from tankers offshore to temporary facilities on land. It makes it harder for an adversary to disrupt fuel supplies by targeting a single port.
