Idaho potato growers will pay 50% more to market their potatoes

The Idaho-Eastern Oregon Potato Committee has increased the fee potato growers pay to market their crops. The assessment rate rose from $0.002 to $0.003 per hundredweight of potatoes, a 50% increase.

This small fee increase means potato growers in specific parts of Idaho and Oregon will pay more to sell their potatoes. These fees fund marketing and research efforts for the industry. The change is permanent unless the committee decides to alter it again.
