US adds 8 foreign companies to its export blacklist, including 4 from Russia

The US Commerce Department has added eight foreign companies to its Entity List. This means US companies cannot export certain goods and technologies to these companies without a special license.

The US government uses this list to control who can access American technology. Adding companies to the list makes it harder for them to get parts and software for their products. This can slow down their operations or force them to find alternative suppliers outside the US.
