The Coast Guard will shut down a section of the Atchafalaya River for powerline demolition

The US Coast Guard is creating a temporary safety zone on a section of the Atchafalaya River in Louisiana. This zone will prohibit vessels and people from entering a 500-yard radius around a specific point during an overhead powerline demolition on January 9, 2025.
