US adds 32 more companies to the list of those banned from buying American tech

The US Commerce Department added 32 entities to its Entity List, mostly in China. This means these companies cannot buy US technology or goods without special permission. The department also corrected typos on 27 existing entries.

The US government continues to use export controls to limit access to American technology for companies it deems a national security risk. Each addition to this list means more companies are cut off from critical components and software. This forces them to find alternative suppliers or develop their own technology, which can slow their progress or increase their costs.
