Pipeline builders can now use a newer welding standard for high-pressure pipes

The US Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration has updated its rules to allow pipeline builders to use a newer industry standard for welding high-pressure steel pipes. This means companies can now use the 2018 version of the ASTM A381/A381M standard, which replaces an older version.
