The Commerce Department will no longer publicly track small business reviews

The Commerce Department is moving its small business review form out of public regulations. This means the public will no longer be able to see how the department reviews contracts for small business participation.

The Commerce Department previously used a public form to track its compliance with small business contracting goals. Moving this form to an internal manual means less transparency for how the department meets these goals. It becomes harder for outside groups to hold the department accountable for supporting small businesses.
