US Labor Department removes anti-discrimination rules for a job training program that no longer exists

The US Labor Department is officially removing anti-discrimination rules for a job training program that ended in 2014. These rules prevented discrimination based on race, religion, sex, age, disability, and other factors for people in the program.

This document is a bureaucratic cleanup. The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) was replaced by a new law, the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), a decade ago. The anti-discrimination rules for WIA were already superseded by WIOA's own rules. This action simply removes outdated regulations from the books.
