Veterans Affairs will no longer start copayment debt waivers for veterans

The VA had proposed making it easier for veterans to get their healthcare copayment debts waived by starting the process for them. Now, that proposal is withdrawn. This means the burden of initiating debt relief remains on the veteran, rather than the VA proactively identifying and addressing these debts.
