Denali National Park makes its 12-year-old vehicle limit official

The National Park Service wants to make its long-standing vehicle limit for Denali Park Road an official rule. This means only 160 vehicles can drive past mile 15 each day during the summer season.

Denali National Park has managed vehicle traffic on its main road with an internal plan since 2012. This proposed rule turns that informal limit into a binding federal regulation. It means the park can now enforce the 160-vehicle daily cap with legal authority, rather than just an administrative policy.
