This change makes it easier for smaller phone companies to comply by letting them outsource the technical work, which could speed up the rollout of robocall protections across the entire phone network.
Watch for an increase in the number of smaller phone companies that fully implement STIR/SHAKEN, and whether the overall volume of robocalls decreases in the next 12-18 months.
